Russet House

Entrance & Drive

The biggest change that we have made to the property is to move the entrance to the property 30 metres down the road. Work started in July 2020 and was finally completed in July 2021.

The original entrance has been closed off with a stone wall topped with a wooden fence in front of which has been planted native hedging, 2 wild cherry trees and an Italian alder.

The new entrance has been constructed using Purbeck stone. The areas either side have been planted with native hedging with the banks closest to the road planted with ivy and primroses. The drive surface is resin bound aggregate and sweeps around aproaching the front of the house ending up where the existing entrance was. The banks on the orchard side have been planted with wild flowers. The other side has been planted with trees and shrubs.
